Gold Prices Again Cut By Tk 3138

Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has set the price of a gold bhori of 22- carat at Tk 116,290, reducing the price by Tk 3,138 after two days of price hike. BAJUS said in a notification on Tuesday (April 23) that the new price will be effective from 4:30 pm today.

The notification states that the price of acid gold (pure gold) has decreased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation. 

According to the new price, the price of 22-carat gold will be Tk 116,290 per bhori (11.664 grams). Apart from this, the price of 21-carat gold is Tk 110,995 per bhori, 18-carat is Tk 95,143 per bhori and traditional gold is Tk 76,856 per bhori.

Earlier on April 21, BAJUS had raised the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 630 and fixed at Tk 119,428 per bhori. Apart from this, 21-carat was fixed at Tk 114,004 per bhori, 18-carat at Tk 97,709 per bhori, and the traditional gold was fixed at Tk 78,662 per bhori – which was effective from 3:30 pm that day.

On April 20, BAJUS reduced the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 840 and fixed at Tk 118,798 per bhori, 21-carat at Tk 113,397 per bhori, 18-carat at Tk 97,196 per bhori, and the traditional gold was fixed at Tk 78,242 per bhori – which was effective from 3:30 pm that day.

BAJUS adjusted gold price 11 times this year. And in 2023, the price was adjusted 29 times.
