Gold Prices Further Cut By Tk 630

The price of gold has been reduced again in the country’s market within 24 hours. A bhori of 22-carat (11.664 grams) gold has been reduced by Tk 630 and fixed at Tk 113,561.

This price has been reduced in view of the reduction in the price of acid gold (seasoned gold) in the local market. Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) said that this price has been effective from 3:50 pm on Thursday.

Earlier, on Wednesday (April 24), BAJUS reduced the price of gold by Tk 2,100. As a result, the price of a 22-carat gold stands at Tk 114,190 per bhori. On Tuesday, BAJUS fixed the price of a 22-carat gold at Tk 116,290, reducing the price by Tk 3,138.

Earlier, on April 21, BAJUS had increased the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 630 and fixed at Tk 119,428, which was effective from 3:30 pm that day. And on April 20, BAJUS reduced the best quality 22-carat gold bar by Tk 840 and fixed at Tk 118,798 per bhori, which was effective from 3:30 pm that day.

BAJUS adjusted gold price 12 times this year. And in 2023, the price was adjusted 29 times.
