Shahab Uddin for Searching Causes Behind Floating Ashore of Dead Dolphins

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin today asked authorities concerned to search the causes behind the floating ashore of dead dolphins in different coastal areas of the country and inform the media about it.

"All the people concerned have to work sincerely for the development of the country's overall environment. We have to give maximum importance to the projects taken to improve the quality of environment and plantation," he said.

The minister said this while addressing a virtual workshop on reviewing progress of development projects under the Annual Development Programme (ADP) from his residence.

He also asked the Chief Conservator of Forests to take necessary legal steps against the people behind the killings of different wild animals including spotted deer in the Sundarbans and Nijhum Dwip after proper investigation, an official release said.

Presided over by Environment, Forest and Climate Change Secretary Md Mostafa Kamal, the workshop was also addressed, among others, by Deputy Minister Habibun Nahar, Additional Secretary (development) Ahmed Shamim Al Razi, Additional Secretary (environment) Md Moniruzzaman and Chief Conservator of Forests Md Amir Hossain Chowdhury.
