ADB to Provide $50 Crore As Budget Support

Bangladesh is likely to get $50 as budget support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the fiscal 2022-2023.

Taking Tk 106 per dollar, its amount is about 5 thousand 300 crore taka. The interest rate on the loan will be 0.5 per cent. Besides, this amount has to be paid within 15 years.

In last two fiscal years, ADB also provided $100 crore as budget support. Bangladesh gets $50 as budget support every year. So, we will get this amount this year.

Planning Minister MA Mannan said this after a meeting with ADB Country Director Edimon Ginting at the minister’s office at Agargaon in the city on Thursday._Agencies
