BD Electricity Price Rises Again

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has boosted electricity prices by Tk0.36 and Tk0.40 respectively for retail and wholesale consumers.

The updated prices are set to take effect from March.

The BERC announced the hikes at a press conference held at its office in Dhaka today.

As per the new price, at the retail level- the price of electricity has been fixed at Tk 7.13 per unit instead of Tk 6.77. At the wholesale level-  the price of electricity has been fixed at Tk 5.17 per unit instead of 4.77
