Hajj Registration Comes to End Today, Banks Will Remain Open

The registration of the holy Hajj for the current season under government management is coming to an end today, Saturday (May 27). Therefore, the bank will remain open even today on weekly holidays to carry out Hajj activities without any hindrance.

Bangladesh Bank has directed to keep open the required number of branches at district and upazila level across the country including the head offices of all the banks.

An urgent directive in this regard was sent to the chief executives of all the banks on Friday (May 27) at 8 pm, said Bangladesh Bank spokesperson and executive director Md. Sirajul Islam.

At the request of the Ministry of Religion and under the direction of the Ministry of Finance, Bangladesh Bank issued this circular on Friday, a weekly holiday.
