Dollar Price Further Increases By 50 Paisa

For remittances, export earnings, and import payments, the US dollar rate has been increased by fifty paisa. This decision has been effective since Monday (September 25) morning.

Bangladesh Foreign Exchange Dealers Association-BAFEDA and Association of Bankers Bangladesh-ABB held a virtual meeting on Sunday (September 24) night to increase the rate.

From now on, expatriates will get a maximum of Tk 110 against every dollar of remittance. Earlier he used to get a maximum of 109 taka 50 paisa. With this, expatriates will also get two and a half percent incentives from the government sector. Exporters used to get a maximum of 109 taka 50 paisa. From this morning it has been fixed at a maximum of Tk110.

Besides, banks used to sell dollars at a maximum of Tk 110 against imports. Now selling at maximum 110 taka 50 paisa. In coordination with this, the dollar price increased by 50 paisa in all sectors. On September 3, the price of the dollar was increased one step. With this, the price of the dollar increased by one and a half rupees in two rounds this month.
