Number of Cent Per Cent Success Schools Goes Up

The number of schools under the general education boards with both 100 percent in Junior School Certificate (JSC) examination has increased than the previous year.

A total of 3,400 educational institutions achieved 100 percent pass rate this year, which was 3,042 last year.

Meanwhile, the number of schools with zero percent pass rate goes down as this year, no students were able to pass the examinations from 14 educational institutions, it was 20 last year, Education Minister Dipu Moni told Journalists at a press briefing at the Secretariat office in Dhaka today.

The education minister, after handing over results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, declared that 87.58 per cent passed the JSC tests.

Earlier in the morning, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a ceremony announced the results of Primary Education Completion (PEC), Junior School Certificate (JSC) and its equivalent examinations.

Before the announcement, head of the respective education boards handed over the results to the PM at her official residence Gono Bhaban in Dhaka.
