DU Not to Adopt Uniform Admission Test

Dhaka University authorities have decided not to adopt the uniform admission test -- formulated by the UGC -- to enrol students.

The decision came from the Academic Council Meeting held at the Senate Building of the university with DU Vice-Chancellor Prof M Akhtaruzzman in the chair this afternoon, some teachers present at the meeting told our DU correspondent over phone.

The university will enrol students through its own admission test like before, the teachers added.

The meeting was on till filing of this report around 4:00pm.

Earlier on January 23, University Grants Commission (UGC) in a meeting decided that a uniform admission test will be held next academic year to enrol students at all public universities in Bangladesh.
