Each Upazilla to Get Child Psychologist: Dipu Moni

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni said that the government is going to appoint a child psychologist in each Upazila of the country.

The child psychologist will train 2 teachers, including a female, in every school regarding the psychological aspects so that they can resolve different complications of their students through counseling, she said.

Dr Dipu Moni made the disclosure while addressing a virtual event titled ''Let's talk on youth education and skills'' as the chief guest on Saturday morning.   

Mentioning that youths of the country suffer from psychological complications as they are harassed in different ways, Dipu Moni said on many occasions they even commit suicide.

The students are depressed mentally due to COVID-19, the Minister said, adding that considering all issues, the education ministry is thinking to appoint a child psychologist in all Upazilas of the country.
