RU to Hold Exams in January Keeping Halls Closed

The authorities of Rajshahi University (RU) have decided to hold the honors and masters examinations, postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, from January 2, 2021.

The development came during a meeting of RU academic council chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof M Abdus Sobhan on Monday, sources said.

The RU authorities announced that all its departments can hold examinations starting from January 2 following the health guidelines.

Now the departments, those could not finish their honours and masters exams of students of sessions 2015-16 and 2014-15 respectively and those which finished the courses but couldn't start the exams, can proceed on.

However, the residential halls will remain closed in order to prevent increased risk of Covid-19.

The authorities have also decided to cancel the upcoming winter vacation.
