Govt Decides to Reopen Schools in February

The government has decided in principle to reopen educational institutions from upcoming February following health guidelines.

But classes will not begin for all students. The classes will begin in order to complete syllabuses of the candidates of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations of this year.

Prof Syed Golam Faruk, Director General of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, revealed this information while talking to journalists on Sunday.

''No final decision has yet been taken to reopen academic institutions in February. But it has been decided in principle to reopen schools. The education ministry will inform us in this regard if the coronavirus situation gets normal,'' said Golam Faruk.
