Mefthual Becomes Topper in DU ‘Ka’ Unit

Meftahul Alam Siam, a student of Bogura Government Azizul Haque College, has become the first in the ‘Ka’ unit of the Faculty of Science in the first year of graduation of Dhaka University (DU) 2020-21 academic year.

The student who got the record mark gave the wrong answer to only one question in the exam. Meftahul got 117.75 out of 120 marks.

Analyzing the results of Siam, it is seen that he has given experiments in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Each topic has two parts written and MCQ. There are 15 MCQs in each subject. Number 1 per question. As such, he got a total of 60 marks in MCQ of four subjects and a total of 40 marks in 10 in writing. A total of 100 marks in two parts.

Siam has given correct answers to all the 15 questions in the MCQ section of Physics. And in the written part he got 9.25 out of 10 numbers.

Siam also gave correct answers to 15 questions in the MCQ section of Chemistry. And in the written part, he got 9.75 out of 10 numbers.

He answered 15 questions in MCQ of Mathematics. He got 13.75 marks in this part as one of the answers was wrong. But in the written part he got full 10 marks.

Siam has done best in the biology part. He got full marks in the written and MCQ part of this part. 15 in MCQ and 10 in writing.

Wednesday (November 3) at 12 noon in the university's Abdul Matin Chowdhury Virtual Classroom, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Akhtaruzzaman published the results.

According to the results, this time the pass rate in 'Ka' unit is 10.76 percent. 94,505 people took part in the examination. The number of students who passed is 10,165.
