PEC, Ibtedayi Exams Uncertain This Year

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossain has said that the final examination for primary education (PEC and Ibtedayi) this year is uncertain. However, no decision has been made yet.

He also said that PEC and Ibtedayi examinations will not be taken from next year, adding that all kinds of examinations would be given in the implementation of the new curriculum and picked up in the next class through continuous assessment.

He said this at a press conference at the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education at the Secretariat on Thursday (April 21).

Noting that the final decision will be announced three months before the exam in November, the state minister said there was nothing to worry about. The test will be announced three months before the end of the year.
