2024’s SSC, HSC Exams Likely to Begin in Feb, Apr: Minister

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations for the following school year will likely be held in April, according to Education Minister Dipu Moni, while the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exams will likely be held in February.

Dipu Moni informed media after visiting an HSC testing facility at Tejgaon College, "We have been trying to hold these exams on time."

The HSC exams for the eight general boards began today.

According to Dipu Moni, results for this year's HSC and equivalent examinations would be made available 60 days after the exams have ended.

"Students who took the exams starting today will receive their results within 60 days (of the exams' conclusion)," she declared. The release of the results may be delayed in other boards where the students will take the exam later.

However, she continued, "our goal is to disclose the outcomes for all nine general boards, the Madrasah board, and the technical boards collectively within 60 days.

Exams will start on August 16 and continue until August 27 for students registered with the Chittagong, Madrasa, and Technical Education Boards.

As a result of the monsoon flood, the examinations for these boards were postponed by 10 days.

With the exception of information and communications technology, which will be examined on a shortened curriculum and for 75 rather than 100 points this year, all disciplines will have tests for the full grade this year.

13,59,342 students have signed up for the HSC and equivalent examinations in total. There are 6,88,887 males and 6,70,455 girls among them.

11,08,594 students will take the HSC examinations, 98,031 will take the Dakhil exams, and 1,52,717 will take the technical education board's vocational exams. Comparing this year to last, there are 1,55,935 more examinees.
