New Textbooks to Reach All upazillas across Country by November

Farid Ahmed, the secretary for primary and mass education, announced on Thursday that textbooks for the upcoming school year will be distributed to all students on the first day of the new year by November.

At a virtual workshop on the second annual action plan of USAID's "Shobai Miley Shikhi" (Let's study together) initiative in the morning, the minister made this announcement while serving as the keynote speaker.

The textbooks for classes 2 and 3 have been developed for the upcoming academic year in accordance with the updated curriculum.

In the school year 2025, 4th and 5th grade students will get new textbooks based on a redesigned curriculum.

The Mass Education Secretary stated on the "Shobai Miley Shikhi" initiative that "The key to learning together is that no one will be left out or left behind, everyone will get equal opportunities, and will move forward continuously through collective efforts."

In order to prepare kids for the difficulties of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, he advocated for an action plan.

The workshop was presided over by Additional Director General of the Department of Primary Education Dilip Kumar Banik, and speakers included Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education Mosharraf Hossain, USAID's Director of Education Sonjai Reynolds-Cooper, Supervisory Contracting Officer of the Bangladesh mission Andrew Holland, and Director of the Department of Primary Education Manish Chakma.
