Secondary School Admissions By Lottery Next Year

Students will be admitted through a digital lottery for the next academic year (2024) in all government secondary schools of the country under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) and private secondary schools located in metropolitan and district Sadar upazilas. This rule will be effective for the admission of students from class I to class IX.

DSHE issued a notification in this regard on Monday (October 3) evening.

According to the notification, the principal or headmaster of the institutions that do not participate in the process of digital lottery will be personally responsible.

Earlier students were admitted by lottery only in first class. However, due to the pandemic of coronavirus, in the academic year 2021, students are admitted through lottery in all classes. Thereafter students are selected for admission in the same process.
