The call to emphasize sustainable marketing to achieve business growth in keeping with the changing global economy came from the celebration of 'Marketing Day' at Dhaka University.

Teachers, marketing professionals and students participated in the concluding phase of the two-day conference organized by the Marketers Institute, Bangladesh (MIB) at the University's Student Teacher Center on Friday (October 13).

Planning Minister MA Mannan was present as the chief guest on the occasion. Presided over by Professor Mizanur Rahman, President of Marketers Institute, Bangladesh.

On the occasion, Planning Minister MA Mannan said that there is no alternative to sustainable marketing to achieve business growth and in that case efficient human resource development is required.

He said that Bangladesh will become a developed country by 2041 and Bangladesh has already entered the fourth industrial revolution. In that regard, Marketers Institute, Bangladesh has adopted a well-thought and long-term plan to build skilled human resources. It certainly deserves praise.

Assistant Professor HM Atif Wafiq and Lecturer Salehin Mahbub were present along with hundreds of students from the University of Scholars.

Marketers Institute Bangladesh General Secretary Shariful Islam Dulu said, Marketers Institute, Bangladesh has been celebrating the day since 2018 with the aim of providing maximum satisfaction to consumers by enhancing the professional skills of marketing professionals.

He said that the Marketers Institute, Bangladesh is working to achieve service excellence by bringing together all the domestic and international professionals related to sales and marketing professions on the same platform with utmost importance in their professional development. Besides, Marketing Day was celebrated for the sixth time in a very festive atmosphere across the country. With the participation of nearly fifty lakh marketing professionals of the country, this colorful life festival has been celebrated for two days in various corporate houses and public and private universities across the country through various programs including cake cutting, rallies, discussion meetings, cultural events.
