4 Rajshahi District Govt. Colleges Affiliated With RU

Four government colleges in Rajshahi district under the National University have been brought under the jurisdiction of Rajshahi University. This information was disclosed in a notice signed by Senior Assistant Secretary of the Ministry of Education Shatorupa Talukdar yesterday (March 4).

According to the advertisement, following the directives and discipline implementation given by the Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the four colleges of Rajshahi district have been included in Rajshahi University. The included colleges are Rajshahi Government College, Government City College, Government Women's College, and New Govt. Degree College.

It was further stated in the advertisement that in this situation, for appropriate implementation of discipline, necessary effective steps such as amendment of existing laws and regulations (if necessary) and submission of a report on consecutive matters by April 30 have been requested for dispatch in this department. 

It is noteworthy that similarly, five government colleges in Chittagong have been included under Chittagong University. These colleges are Chittagong Government College, Haji Mohammad Mohsin Government College, Sir Ashutosh Government College, Boalkhali Government Commerce College, and Satkania Government College.
