Schools, Colleges Reopen Today Amid Severe Heatwave,

As the country grapples with an intense heatwave, the government has announced the reopening of primary school academic activities starting Sunday, April 28. 

The heat wave that started the first day of this month is sweeping over the country. Meteorologists are saying that there is no possibility of this heat wave decreasing this month. People's lives have been disrupted by the heat wave. People are waiting for rain. But there is no chance of rain across the country at least this month according to the Meteorological Department. Today and Sunday also, heat waves may be sweeping over different parts of the country, the weather forecast is like that.

In the meantime, the educational institutions of the country are opening today. These institutions were supposed to open on April 21. But the holiday was extended by a week due to the heat wave.

A week's holiday was given to educational institutions due to the severe heatwave before the end of the holy Ramadan and Eid holidays. After a long holiday, the primary to higher secondary level educational institutions are opening today.

However, pre-primary classes will remain closed until further notice. And assemblies (daily gatherings) will be closed until the temperature comes down to a tolerable level.

Earlier, it was announced to take classes from next Saturday in educational institutions under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE). However, no new decision has been taken regarding primary schools. In other words, Saturday is the weekend as before.

Although the educational institutions under the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) will open from today, the assembly will remain closed until the temperature comes down to a tolerable level. Outdoor activities and those requiring sun exposure at these institutions will continue to be limited.
