Educational institutions have
been declared closed till February 6 due to the high incidence of coronavirus
infection. At the same time examinations of different universities have been
postponed. Honors 4th year students will face problems in applying for 44th BCS
within the stipulated date due to postponement of exams. In this situation,
Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) is thinking about extending the
application deadline for the 44th BCS.
The notification of the 44th BCS was
published on 30th November last year. The last date of application is 31st
January.
On Tuesday (January 25), PSC
Chairman Mohammad Sohorab Hossain said, "We have received a letter from
the UGC of the National University to extend the application deadline for the
44th BCS." It has been requested to extend the application deadline for
one month by 44th BCS.
Asked whether the deadline would
be extended, he said, "We will take a positive decision considering the
interests of the students. And it will be informed soon."
