Bangladesh Navy Offers Job On Passing SSC

Bangladesh Navy has released a circular for the recruitment of sailors, female sailors, and MODC (navy). According to the published notice, in the 2024 batch of Navy, manpower will be recruited in DE or UC (Seaman, Communication, and Technical), Medical, Patrolman, Cook, Steward, MODC (Navy), Writer, Store, and Topaz branches.

Educational Qualification:

Only male candidates can apply for DE or UC posts. Candidates must pass SSC or equivalent examination from the science department with a minimum GPA of 3.50. However, preference will be given to candidates with superior mathematics in the SSC examination and a minimum 'A' grade from BN Dockyard Cooperative Society Technical Institute.

Both male and female candidates can apply in the medical branch. For application, SSC with Biology or equivalent examination must be passed by the Science Department with a minimum GPA of 3.50.

Only male candidates can apply for the posts of Patrolman, Cook, Steward, MODC (Navy) and Topaz. Male and female candidates can apply for the post of writer and store. For the posts of Patrolman, Writer, Store, and MODC (Navy) must have passed SSC or equivalent with a minimum GPA of 3.00.

SSC or equivalent pass with a minimum GPA of 2.50 from any department for the post of Cook and Steward and minimum 8th class pass for the post of Topaz.

Physical Qualification:

Candidate’s height should be at least 5 feet 6 inches for Seaman and MODC (Navy) posts, 5 feet 8 inches for Patrolman posts, and 5 feet 4 inches for other posts.

Height minimum 5 feet 2 inches in case of female candidates. In addition to height for each post, male candidates applying for chest measurement should be 30 to 32 inches in normal condition and 2 inches more in enlarged condition. Weight should be according to height and age and eyesight should be 6/6.

Besides, interested candidates should be Bangladeshi male citizens and unmarried. Candidate must know how to swim. As on 1 January 2024 for the post of Seamen and Seawomen, the age should be between 17 to 20 years. Age 17 to 22 years for MODC (Navy) post.

Application Rules and Fees:

Interested candidates have to check pre-eligibility first by visiting the Navy website and clicking on the Sailor Section/Apply Now option. After verification click on apply now option.

Then the candidate has to deposit the exam fee through banking or mobile banking. 200 Tk should be deposited through any bank credit or debit card and mobile banking (Bkash, Nagad, Rocket, TAP, OK Wallet), etc.
