43rd BCS written exam will be completed by October 12. The
Public Service Commission (PSC) intends to publish the results of the final
recommendations in November.
According to PSC sources, recently in the regular meeting of
PSC a discussion held about the final result of 43rd BCS.
PSC Chairman Sohorab Hossain told the media on Tuesday
(September 19) at noon that it will not take much time to publish the results
after the viva examination. We have decided that we will publish it within this
year. We believe that it can be published within November this year.
When asked whether a final date has been fixed in the
meeting or not, he replied, it is not possible to say the date and time now. It
creates extreme confusion among everyone including the aspirants. I can say
this - November is our target. Maybe it will be done within that month.
At present 5 thousand 28 general cadre candidates are undergoing
viva test. After that there will be examination of technical cadre candidates.
The candidates of both the cadres will have an viva examination at the very
end.
The 43rd BCS preliminary exam was held on 29 October 2021.
The preliminary results were declared on January 20 last year. 15 thousand 229
candidates passed it.
PSC started written examination in July 2022. The results of
the 43rd BCS written exam were released on August 20 this year. 9 thousand 841
people passed it.
The viva examination started on September 3. 180 candidates
are taking viva test every day. However, PSC has changed the date of viva
examination of 22 candidates due to illness.
