The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced the final date for the 46th BCS Preliminary Examination.

This decision was taken at a special meeting held after today's Sunday. First light confirmed this information. A member of the PSC told First Light that it has been decided by the commission that the preliminary examination will be held on 26 April.

It has also been planned to publish the results quickly and to take the written test. The date for the 46th BCS preliminary examination was fixed on the 9th of March.

The PSC has also issued a notification about the examination date. However, the date of the examination was changed due to the city corporation elections.

The preliminary examination of the 46th BCS will be held in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chittagong, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh centers.

A total of 3 lakh 38 thousand applications have been submitted for the 46th BCS. Out of 3,140 seats, the highest number will be taken in the health cadre.

After that, 1,682 Assistant Surgeons and 16 Assistant Dental Surgeons will be appointed. After that, the most will be taken in the education cadre. A total of 520 people will be taken from this cadre to study BCS. In administration, 274, in foreign service, 10, in police, 80, in Ansar, 14, in fisheries, 26, and in civil service, 65 people will be taken.
