Moushumi Turns 47 Today

Today is the 47th birthday of Moushumi, one of the most popular film actresses in the country.

Her fans, friends, and well-wishers have sent greeting messages to the actress on her birthday.

Celebrities and her co-artistes also take to social media and shower love on Moushumi with birthday wishes.

About her birthday, Moushumi said, ''I always celebrate my birthday with gala event. This year, I will celebrate the day with my family members in a simple programme. My fan club will also hold a separate programme to mark the day.''  

Moushumi is a celebrated actress of the country. She began her acting career from her early age. She won the Ananda Bichittra Photo Beauty Contest, which led to appearances in TV commercials in the 1990s.

She first appeared in the movie Keyamat Thake Keyamat with popular actor Salman Shah in   1993.  In 1996, she married another popular actor Omar Sani. The couple has two children.

Moushumi has acted in over 150 films and made her directorial debut with Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti in 2003.

In September 2013, Moushimi was named a UNICEF goodwill ambassador.  Moushumi also runs a production house, Kopotakhsma Cholochitra.

She is associated with Projapoti Cholochitra and she looks after her own foundation, the Moushumi Welfare Foundation.
