Actor Abdul Kader Laid to Eternal Rest

Renowned actor Abdul Kader, also very much popular as 'Badi', has been laid to rest at Banani Graveyard in the capital this afternoon.

Earlier in the day, the body of the late actor was taken at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) premises as people from all walks of life paid homage to him there.

The namaj-e-janaza of Kader was held at a mosque close to his residence at Mirpur in Dhaka after Johr prayer.

Abdul Kader breathed his last at around 8:20 am today while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.

He had been suffering from IV cancer, was diagnosed with coronavirus on December 21.

He was taken to Chennai of India for better treatment on December 8. Later on December 15, he was diagnosed with cancer.

According to physicians, he was not fit for chemotherapy. As a result, he was taken back to the country from India's Christian Medical College Hospital at Vellore of Chennai on December 20 and was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.
