Misha Sawdagor Administers Oath to Ilias Kanchan

Outgoing Committee President Misha Sawdagor administered the oath of office to the newly elected President of Bangladesh Film Artists' Association Ilias Kanchan.

The swearing-in ceremony was held at 5:30 pm on Sunday (February 6) at the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC).

Veteran actor Ilias Kanchan has been elected as president and actress Nipun as general secretary.

The other winning candidates are Masum Parvez Rubel and Monwar Hossain Dipzal. Simon Sadiq as Assistant General Secretary and Shahanur as Organizing Secretary.

Mamnoon Emon will be sworn in as culture and sports secretary, Joy Chowdhury as international affairs secretary, and Azad Khan as treasurer.

Besides, the 11 new members of the executive council are Anjana Sultana, Aruna Biswas, Amit Hasan, Aliraj, Keya, Nadir Khan, Jasmine, Ferdous, Mousumi, Rozina, and Sucharita.

This time the total number of voters of the association was 428. But 365 people cast their vote.
