Bhabna in Liberation War Based Telefilm ‘Adam Surat’

‘Lal Moroger Jhuti’-famed actress Ashna Habib Bhabna has paired up with Shipon Mitra in a telefilm titled ‘Adam Surat’ directed by Mohammad Jewel Rana and written by Mohidur Rahman. The shooting of the telefilm has completed recently, reports media.

The telefilm is based on the liberation war of Bangladesh and will air on Channel i marking the independence day.

Regarding the work on the telefilm, Bhabna said, “The script of Adam Surat is very good. I am playing the character named Asma in this telefilm whose father is a Rajakar. So when a father in a family is a Rajakar, the neighbours start to see that family in a different light. The telefilm portrays the struggle of that family in the time of the liberation war. My character ‘Asma’ is a very rebellious character. I always wanted to work on this type of character which is different and challenging. I hope the audience will love our telefilm.”

Shipon said that the character he is playing is challenging and the plot of the telefilm is also very different.

In the meantime, Bhabna has completed the shooting of the special drama titled ‘Bishuddho Valobasha’ directed by Shetu Arif and ‘Prashnabadhak’ directed by S K Shahrier.

Recently, Bhabna has completed the shooting of the film titled ‘Dampara’, co-starring with Dhallywood actor Ferdous Ahmed.

‘Dampara’ will depict the tale of a widow, Mahmuda Chowdhury (played by Bhabna), who never wore shoes after her husband was killed because she thought that his grave can be anywhere in Bangladesh.

Bhabna started her acting career with the drama titled ‘First Date’ directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. Later she stepped into the silver screen in 2017 with the movie ‘Bhayangkar Sundar’ directed by Animesh Aich. Her portrayal of the character Poddo in the film ‘Lal Moroger Jhuti’ directed by Nurul Alam Atique has garnered a lot of appreciation from the viewers.
