Sunny Leone in Dhaka despite Her Work Permit Revoked

Bollywood actress Sunny Leone's permission to visit Bangladesh has been revoked. The decision was announced in a recent notification of the Ministry of Information. But even then Sunny Leone has arrived in Dhaka. This information was given by Sunny herself.

Sunny Leone posted a picture on her Facebook page on Saturday (March 12) afternoon. She was at the Dhaka airport. Behind her, it is written 'Welcome to Bangladesh'.

Sunny Leone wrote in the caption of the film, "So happy to be in this beautiful country!"

Earlier on Wednesday (March 9), the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said in a statement that the work permit of Karenjit Kaur Weber (Sunny Leone) had been revoked due to unavoidable circumstances.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting allowed Sunny Leone to come to Dhaka at the request of the film production company Messrs.' Chairman Film Syndicate.

Later, the ministry's deputy secretary (film) Saiful Islam was called to find out the reason for the cancellation but no response was received.

Producer Selim Khan did not want to comment on the cancellation of Sunny Leone's 'work permit' when asked by the media.

He said that he will not make the movie anymore. Director Shamim Ahmed Rony was supposed to direct the movie.

According to the Policy on Participation of Foreign Actors in Domestic Films-2020 (Revised), the production company has applied to the Bangladesh Film Development Corporation (BFDC) for the participation of foreign actors in any film in Bangladesh; foreign artists are given work permits on the basis of FDC's recommendations.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued work permits to 10 Indian actors and crew, including Sunny Leone, at the request of Soldier's film production company.

Among them, only Sunny Leone's work permit has been revoked; she was supposed to come to Dhaka with a US passport.

Earlier, Sunny Leone's item song was featured in a movie called 'Bikkhov (Protest)' by Shapla Media, another production company of Selim Khan. The production company later dropped the song from the movie.
