Jaya-Mosharraf Get Filmfare Nominations

This is not new for Jaya Ahsan. She has been nominated for Filmfare Award Bangla before; Won prizes too. But this is new for popular Bangladeshi actor Mosharraf Karim. For the first time, he has been nominated for a popular and prestigious Filmfare award in India.

Mosharraf Karim has been nominated in the category of Best Actor (Critic) for his performance in the 'Dictionary' movie of Kolkata.

Jaya Ahsan has received two nominations for her role in Binisuto. One of which has a central character in the Best Actress category, the other in the Best Actress (Critics) category.

For the first time, two more Bangladeshis have been nominated for Filmfare Award. They are lyricist Asif Iqbal and vocalist Mahtim Shakib.

Asif Iqbal has been nominated as the lyricist for writing the song titled 'Mayar Kangal' in the movie Satya. And Mahtim Shakib has been nominated as the best male play-back vocalist for the song 'Take Alpo Kache Dakchi' in the movie Prem Tem.

The names of the final winners will be announced on March 26. The nominations for India's Filmfare Award Bangla 2021 were published on Monday.

The awards will be given in 26 categories out of the movies released in Kolkata between 2020-21.
