A
Dhaka court has fixed May 18 for framing charges against three people,
including businessman Nasir Uddin Mahmud, in a case of beating and indecent
assault of Pori Moni at the Dhaka Boat Club.
Judge
Hemayet Uddin of Dhaka's Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal-9 passed
the order on Tuesday (April 19th). Pori Moni's lawyer Nilanjana Rifat Souravi
confirmed the information.
The
actress Pori Moni appeared in the court at 10.45 am on that day.
Excited
in the court, Pori Moni said, ‘Three people including businessman Nasir Uddin
Mahmud and Tuhin Siddiqui Omi have a lot of power in Dhaka Boat Club. They
don't need room to rape anyone there. When they call, the lights go out. They
can jump on any girl there like a playground. '
"They
forced me to go to the boat club at 12 midnight, she said. I go there in
shorts. There are no rules to get in after shorts. Let them enter by the force
of their power."
The
lawyers told him to stop after the hearing lasted for about an hour. At that
moment, Pori Moni said, "If I can't speak here, where I can speak?"
Inspector
Kamal Hossain, the investigating officer in the case, filed the charge sheet in court on September 6. Earlier on June 14, Pori Moni filed the case with
Savar Model Police Station.
