Bollywood
diva Nora Fatehi will come to Dhaka on November 18 to attend the 'Global
Achiever Award 2022' event, putting an end to all speculations.
Earlier, Nora was supposed to come to Dhaka by dancing to the songs 'Saki Saki' and 'Dilbar'. However, she did not come in the end due to not getting permission from the Ministry of Culture.
Shahjahan
Bhuiyan, managing director of Mirror Group and organizer of the event, said so.
He said, due to the dollar-crisis, the Ministry of Culture has stopped the
permission to bring foreign artists. She may come around January if the permit
is issued.
In the meantime, Nora gave a video message on social media last Thursday night. She said there, she will come to Dhaka on November 18 to attend the 'Global Achiever Award 2022' event. She will dance and distribute prizes at a function organized at a convention center in the capital.
The
mirror group of Bangladesh is angry after seeing this video message of Nora.
Nora was supposed to attend an event in Dhaka organized by Mirror magazine in
September. An advance of Rs 15 lakh was also given to her. But Nora could not
participate in the event due to the lack of permission from the Ministry of
Culture. Later, Mirror Group was contacted to recover the advance payment (Rs.
15 lakhs) but no response was received from Nora.
And
so a legal notice has been sent to her. Shajahan Bhuiyan Saju, managing
director of the company said, "A legal notice has been sent from Dhaka to
Nora Fatehi of Bollywood. The legal notice asked us to refund the money. Nora
Fatehi was also requested not to attend the event in Dhaka in November before
it was paid. If Nora does not accept that, we will take legal action."
The reason for the notice, which was sent by e-mail through Bangladesh Supreme Court lawyer Aminul Islam Russell on October 9, was to get back the advance money and request not to participate in any other event in Dhaka if the money is not returned.
But
these problems have been solved now. In a press conference yesterday (October
15), the Women's Leadership Corporation (Mrittika Maria) and the Mirror Group
announced that they had reached an agreement. Therefore, Nora's coming to
Bangladesh was no longer a constraint.
Nora fans may not have to wait until January anymore. They will meet their much-desired 'summer girl' in November.
Shahjahan Bhuiyan, Managing Director of Mirror Group and organizer of the event, said in the press conference, we started our Mirror magazine in 2005. We arranged the first bridal festival. We have brought many famous artists so far. After that I tried to bring Nora Fatihi. But due to some misunderstanding, it could not be brought in the end. Now we have decided to work together by talking to the Women's Leadership Corporation. We look forward to working with each other in the future.
Women's
Leadership Corporation president Israt Jahan Maria has already completed all
the preparations to bring Nora to Dhaka. The event is accompanied by event
management company Black Leaf. According to that source, more than one and a
half thousand people will be present there.
