Bollywood Diva Nora Fatehi Denied Permission to Perform in Dhaka

Rumors have been going on for the past few days that Bollywood diva Nora Fatehi is coming to Dhaka. But in the end it was canceled due to lack of permission from the government.

This information was informed in a circular signed by the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Culture Mohammad Khaled Hossain today Monday (October 17).

It is known that tomorrow Tuesday (October 18) Nora Fatehi was supposed to dance on the grand stage of 'Global Achievers Awards-2022' at a convention center in the capital.

The organizer of the event, Women's Leadership Corporation, applied to the government for permission. But the Ministry of Culture rejected it and issued a notification on Monday.

It said, "In view of the global situation, with a view to maintaining the balance of foreign exchange reserves in the country... in view of the Bangladesh Bank's memorandum, permission to Indian actress Nora Fatehi to participate in the Global Achievers (Women Entrepreneur Award) program on November 18, 2022 at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center under the management of Women's Leadership Corporation can't be done."

Earlier, Nora Fatehi was scheduled to come to Dhaka in an event organized by Mirror Group. Last September, that application was also rejected by the government citing the 'dollar crisis'. Later, the organizers announced that the event will be postponed to February.

In the meantime, Shahjahan Bhuiyan, chairman of Mirror Group, sent a lawyer notice to Nora when she agreed to come to Dhaka for the Women's Leadership Corporation event.

Founder of Women Leadership Corporation Maria Mrittika Swarna and Chairman of Mirror Group Shahjahan said in a press conference on Sunday (October 16) that they have resolved the 'misunderstanding' about Nora Fatehi's visit to Bangladesh.

The organizers said that Nora will be on stage in Dhaka for 40 minutes on the night of November 18. Local stars will also be present at the event.

Nora Fatehi herself greeted the fans of Bangladesh in a video message and said, 'I am looking forward to meeting you.'

Incidentally, Nora Fatehi of Moroccan origin was born and raised in Canada. Currently one of the best female dancers in Bollywood. Nora caught attention in the item song.
