Popular Model Pallab Returns to Acting after 15 Years

After 15 long years, the once popular model-actor Pallab returned to acting in films. In 2008, Pallab took a break from work after doing Wazed Ali Suman's film 'Biye Bari'. Coincidentally, he returned to acting with the same director's movie 'Chaya'. The shooting of the film has started on April 2 at a shooting location in Pabna.

Pallab said on the phone from the shooting location, "I made a guest appearance in a film. So, it can be said thet I am back to work with the movie 'Chaya' after 15 years.

Pallab said that he is happy to return to work, 'I feel good working after many days. Since 1991, I have stood with the camera for almost 17 years. I have known this place for a long time. So coming to work does not seem new. Returning to a familiar place, I feel the peace of mind.'

When asked why he didn't work for such a long time, the model and actor said, 'In the meantime, my elder brother died suddenly, then the father died; old mother at home. Apart from that I also have a business. Due to these reasons, there has been a break in the work in front of camera.'

Actor Pallab said, he could have returned earlier if he wanted. 'After thinking, I have to be fit to come back again. Should be appropriate. So I gave myself some times. Now I got everything ready, mentally and physically prepared" - said Pallab.

Regarding his comeback with the film 'Chaya', Pallab said, 'I worked with Suman Bhai about 15 years ago. A few days ago he sent me the script of this film. After reading, I felt that there is a lot of scope for my acting here. The audience will find something different in the character. So I agreed.'

Pallab is playing the role of Sayam in the film. This is the character of a neo-industrialist. It’s a family drama film and the story of the film has a message about the violence against women and children.

In response to the question whether he will work regularly from now on or not, the actor commented, 'No more breaks, I will work regularly from now on. Drama, cinema, advertisement, OTT platform- I will work if I like the character in all mediums. As long as I live, I want to work in the media.'

Pallab said that he will get married anytime this year. In this context, he said, 'I have chosen one, not a love marriage. The matter has not yet been officially informed to the family. I want to get married this year.'

The director of the film 'Chaya' said that the shooting of the Pabna part of the film will be completed on April 15. Apart from Pallab, Shabnam Bubly, Lubaba, Ornil and others are also acting in the film. Ferari Farhad has written the screenplay of the movie 'Chaya'.

In 1991, Pallab made his debut as an advertisement model and in 1995, he made his acting debut.
