Apu Biswas Discloses on Why People Talk Much About Shakib

Apu Biswas participated in "Celebrity Night with Apu Biswas" yesterday in the US. The "Laal Saree" actress chose to make a subtle jab at Shakib Khan's detractors while Nawsheen Nahreen Mou was hosting the show. 

Apu Biswas was questioned by the host on her reaction to and impact of criticism. 

"Criticisms are made on people who are doing great in their career. For e.g. if you add 'Shakib Khan' to your statement, you will instantly become viral. Many artistes have used this strategy and are continuing to do so till date," said Apu. 

The host predicted that this response would result in the viralization of the video, to which Apu said, "I don't need to become viral as I make people viral."

The actress also discussed how more cinemas are opening in Bangladesh as a result of high-quality films. 

"Alhamdulillah, audiences are visiting theaters as a result of the several movies that were released this Eid. There were 700 movie theaters when I started working in the film industry. Later, I had to quit the movie business to take care of Abraham. My physique and fitness became terrible after having a child and thus, I decided to stay away from theatres for quite some time. At that time, there were 50 cinema halls but now we have 200, and it is increasing," added the actress. 

"I am really happy that films are being made and that a healthy competition is going on. However, amidst this healthy competition, some artistes are trying to make controversy, using his name to gain popularity. If anyone wants to become famous in the media, they only need to use Shakib's name. And that is why I think being talked about is important, and thus, I very much accept criticism gracefully," concluded the actress. 

"Celebrity Night with Apu Biswas" was organised by Zoya Entertainment. The trailer of Apu Biswas' "Laal Saree" was showcased at the event. Singer Rizia Parveen and Dinat Jahan Munni also performed at the event.
