As the eagerly anticipated Bangladesh Film Festival gets off, Kolkata's thriving cultural district, Nandan, is electrified. The festival has drawn a considerable audience and features 45 Bangladeshi films.

The famed Dhallywood actress Apu Biswas was the center of attention amidst the hectic festival environment when she visited Kolkata to watch the premiere of her film "Laal Shaari." Fans anxiously anticipated the movie's screening at Nandan-1, and as soon as the door opened, the cinema quickly packed to capacity.

Co-star Symon Sadiq, director Bandhan Biswas, and actor Apu Biswas all relished watching the movie with the Kolkata audience.

Dressed elegantly in a red saree, Apu Biswas paid tribute to her film's title, "Laal Shaari," which translates to "Red Saree," with the phrase imprinted on her saree.

The grand inauguration of the fifth Bangladesh Film Festival took place on the evening of July 27 at Nandan, Kolkata.

With a lineup of 45 films, including five documentaries and two short films, the festival aims to celebrate the artistic brilliance and diverse storytelling of Bangladeshi cinema.
