"Hasina: A Daughter's Tale" will make its official premiere on the OTT service Chorki on August 15. 

One of the most important figures in Bangladeshi history was studied, written about, and portrayed by the talented filmmaker and his team over the course of five years. The final product is nothing less than a masterpiece. Even after it was shown, the documentary kept enlightening nations all over the world.

The documentary recounts the events surrounding the horrific killing of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and his family, as well as the heroic journey of his daughters Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana, who were driven to carry out their father's dream.

The documentary was produced by Radwan Mujib Siddiq and Nasrul Hamid Bipu of the Centre for Research and Information (CRI), with music by Debojyoti Mishra, and directed by Piplu R Khan of Apple Box Films.

Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the greatest Bangalee of all time, and the majority of his family were brutally murdered by a group of military soldiers on August 15, 1975. On August 15, Bangladesh marked National Mourning Day in remembrance of the untimely deaths of our nation's greatest leader and his innocent family. 

The two survivors of the massacre on August 15—Sheikh Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rehana—were away from home in 1975.

Sheikh Hasina's return home in 1981, rebuilding Awami League and other democratic events were highlighted in the documentary. 

Earlier on, the film was also screened in a number of prestigious film festivals, earning acclamation from the audience for its vivid story telling.
