TV Channels to Pay Homage to Father of the Nation Day of Mourning

The worst night in Bangladesh's recent history occurred 48 years ago. Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, known as the Father of the Nation, and his family were brutally murdered on August 15. That day, the nation as a whole lost a protector. Television networks have shown a number of shows in observance of the leader and his family.

The documentary "15 August-er Shei Raat" will show on BTV at 7 am. At 8:15 am, the singing show "Chetonay Mujib" will be broadcast. A children's show called "Bangabandhu Ke Jani" has been planned by the channel to honor the occasion. It will air at 9 am. At 10:10 am, the documentary "Shoke Noy Chetonay Mujib" will show.

To add the flavour of stage, they will telecast the play "Obhishopto August" at 12:40 pm.

The feature film, "Tungiparar Miya Bhai", directed by Shamim Ahamed Roni, will be aired at 2:30 pm. Poem recitation for Bangabandhu will be shown at 6:20 pm, while the read-along of excerpts from "Bangabandhu'r Oshomapto Atmajiboni" will be aired at 6:45 pm. The talk show "Tarunner Bhabnay Bangabandhu" will be featured at 7 pm. Special fiction "Abar Ashibo Phirey", directed by Animesh Aich will be televised at 9 pm.

Deepto TV has arranged a wide range of programme focusing on the National Day of Mourning. At 7:40 am, they will air the documentaries "Bari Number 677" and "Shesh Prohorer Agey" at 8 am. At 11:30 pm, the talk show "Shokaboho August" will be held.

A special fiction program called "Rintu'r Na Phera" will be shown on Channel i on August 15 at 7:50 p.m. Anjan Aich is the director of it. The telefilm "Ekattorer Nishan," which is based on the same-named novel by Rabeya Khatun, will air at 3:05. Taher Shipon is in charge of the direction. It also includes Munira Mithu, Kachi Khandoker, and Fazlur Rahman Babu.

At 9:10 am, the songs from the films about Bangladesh's Liberation War will be shown on Boishakhi television. The fictional "Chetonay Mujib" will be broadcast on the channel at 10 p.m. Akash Ranjan is responsible for the direction. Along with others, it features Ashraf Kabir, Tonmoy Sohel, and Shahiduzzaman Selim.

Three patriotic movies will be shown on the station. Ilias Kanchan, Manna, and Champa are all featured in the movie "Shipahi," which will start airing at 10:10. At 12:20 pm, "Mujib Bhai," an animated movie based on Bangabandhu's unfinished memoirs, will air on television. Sohel Mohammad Rana is the film's director. At 2:45 PM, a different movie called "Hangor Nodir Grenade" will be shown. The movie, which was directed by Chashi Nazrul Islam, also features Sohel Rana, Shuchorita, Dodul, and Aruna Biswas. At 12 am, the movie "Desher Mati" will show. Along with others, it features Manna, Shahnaz, and Humayun Faridee.

The cartoon movie "Mujib Bhai" will show on Maasranga television on August 15 at 6 pm. At 7:35 p.m., the station will air the documentary "Hasina: A Daughter's Tale". Piplu R. Khan is the director of the documentary. At 10:30 p.m., Rokeya Prachi's fictional film "Bojrokantho" will be shown. Along with others, it features Imtiaz Barshon, Nishat Priom, and Rokeya Prachi.
