French President Meets ‘Joler Gaan’ Band Singers

French President Emmanuel Macron had a meeting with the renowned Bangladeshi band 'Joler Gaan' singer, Rahul Ananda, during his two-day visit to Dhaka. During the meeting, he even learned how to play the Ektara, a popular one-stringed instrument.

Macron arrived in Dhaka and was welcomed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Dhaka airport the previous night. The French President also attended a banquet.

In addition to official state events, Macron visited the residence-cum-studio of Rahul Ananda in Dhanmondi, where he spent 40 minutes. The premises of Ananda's studio were beautifully decorated with flowers in honor of the President's visit.

Afterward, Rahul Ananda shared on social media that Macron had given him a beautiful pen and said, "Write songs and poems using this pen."
