Nusrat Jahan, a Tollywood actress, often finds herself embroiled in controversies and subjected to online trolls. She regularly faces the challenge of managing these issues. During the autumn Durga Puja, she donned the attire of Goddess Durga, but her portrayal faced criticism from some who couldn't accept a Muslim actress like Nusrat in this role. Consequently, she became the target of online trolling.

In her Durga Puja ensemble, she wore a white saree with a red border, held a conch shell, applied vermilion in the traditional Sinthi style, had a vermilion mark on her forehead, and held a lotus in both hands. Nusrat celebrated Mahalaya by sharing a video of herself dressed as Durga to convey her wishes. However, this performance was met with disapproval from online users, leading to a barrage of negative comments aimed at the Tollywood star.

Criticism of Nusrat's appearance extended from Instagram to various other platforms, with some individuals even resorting to derogatory comments. She was labeled as a 'secular punishment' by one person, and others questioned her portrayal of the stature of Goddess Durga. Some comments even turned vulgar in nature.

It's worth noting that this is not the first time Nusrat has dressed as Durga; she did so last year as well, which also led to sarcasm and trolling. This time around, the situation remains similar, and Nusrat continues to face the online cheekiness of netizens.
