DNCC Launches Handwashing Program

At 25 points in the city, Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) initiated a handwashing program to prevent coronavirus spread.

DNCC Mayor Atiqul Islam inaugurated the program in front of the Gulshan-2 DNCC market today.

In order to create awareness among pedestrians and commuters, the DNCC launched the hand wash project, Atiqul said.

The 25 points are located near Rabindra Sarani, Rajlaxmi Market, and Mascot Plaza in Uttara, Khilkhet Bus Stand, Bashundrara Residential Gate, Sony Cinema Hall in Mirpur, DNCC regional office, Mirpur 10 intersection near the fire service office, Mirpur 12 Bus Stand, Marks Medical College at Mirpur 14, Shah Ali Plaza at Mirpur 10, Mirpur Shopping Centre, Co-operative Market at Mirpur 1, Gabtoli cattle market, Shewrapara Market, Ananda Cinema Hall in Farmgate, Mohammadpur Town Hall, Basilla Road in Mohammadpur, Karwan Bazar, Pangu Hospital in Agargaon, Gulshan 2 DNCC Market, Police Plaza in Gulshan, Kakoli Bus Stand, Mohakhali DNCC regional office, and Rampura Bazar. 

DNCC Panel Mayor Jamal Mostafa was present at the inauguration program.
