Students Will Come under Vaccination: Maleque

Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque have said school-college students will get coronavirus or COVID-19 vaccine.

He said the age-limit for corona vaccine will be reduced, if it is possible to bring more vaccine.

He made the remarks while talking to journalists on Wednesday at the secretariat.

''The schedule for students’ vaccination will be considered then,'' he said.

Zahid Maleque said foreign citizens, government employees, staff working in different ports will come under vaccination.

The foreigners will get the COVID-19 vaccine as per the list of the foreign ministry, he said.  

The health minister further said some 33lakh people of the country have received vaccine so far while another 45 lakh people have registered for vaccine.

''Four crores more doses of vaccine will be available by July. Discussion is on to bring vaccine from other countries other than Oxford's vaccine.''
