The first dose vaccination program has started again in the country. The vaccine is being administered at 40 centers across the country from Thursday (July 1).

Two types of vaccines are being given, Pfizer of the United States and Sinopharm of China. Pfizer vaccine is being given in 7 centers.

Dr Shamsul Haque, line director of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) and director of the vaccination program, said Pfizer's vaccination program would start on Thursday. It is difficult to transport these vaccines across the country, so we have selected seven centers in Dhaka. The centers are Dhaka Medical College, Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital, Mugda Medical College Hospital, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital, Sheikh Russell Gastro-liver Hospital and Kurmitola General Hospital.

Migrant workers will be given two vaccines from the US's Pfizer and China's Sinopharm to prevent Covid-19 disease. In this case, only those who have complications with the Sinopharm vaccine, including Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, will be vaccinated with Pfizer. And all other expatriates will be given Sinopharm shots.
