Bangladesh has reported the highest number of Covid-19
deaths for the second day in a straight, with 164 more individuals dying from
the virus in the 24 hours leading up to Monday 8 am.
During the same time period, the Directorate General of
Health Services (DGHS) recorded the largest number of new cases ever: 9,964.
The increase in Covid-19 deaths and infections came as the
authorities declared that the continuing nationwide strict restrictions would
be extended for another week.
According to the Covid-19 bulletin provided by the DGHS, the death toll has risen to 15,229, and the number of cases has risen to 9,54,881
across the country.
