Bangladesh Records Highest-Ever 230 Deaths from Covid-19

Bangladesh recorded 230 Covid-19 deaths on Sunday, the largest number of single-day deaths since the pandemic struck the country last year.

According to the Covid-19 bulletin provided by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the death rate has also risen to 1.61 percent, with a total of 16,419 deaths.

The number of daily Covid-19 cases also hit a new high, with 11,874 persons infected in the 24 hours leading up to Sunday 8 am.
