213 More Dengue Patients Hospitalized in 24Hrs

During the 24 hours leading up to 8 am today, at least 213 patients with dengue fever were hospitalized to hospitals across the country, with only 25 of them coming from outside Dhaka.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 5,192 people have been diagnosed with dengue this year. Only 239 of the total sick are from outside of Dhaka.

Among the 5,192 infected, 2,534 were diagnosed in August.

At least 2,286 people were hospitalized in different hospitals across the country in July, which was 272 in June while 43 were infected in May.

Though most of the patients who were hospitalized have so far been released, 907 are still undergoing treatment at hospitals across the country, with 66 of them being outside the capital.
