No New Registration Required for Booster Dose: Sabrina Flora

Additional Director General of the Health Directorate Meerjady Sabrina Flora said that there is no need for a new registration to take the booster dose of Coronavirus Vaccine. She said that with the increase in the capacity of Surokkha apps, SMS for booster doses will soon be available to people taking second doses across the country.  

She was speaking to media persons on Wednesday (December 22) morning while inaugurating a coronavirus vaccination program for workers at Executive Greentex, a garment factory in Sreepur Mulaid, Gazipur.

She added that there would be no crisis of vaccine to give booster dose. The country has adequate coronavirus vaccine in stock. There is nothing to worry about, people who have been vaccinated at the village level will also get a booster dose.

Dr. Belal Hossain, Director, Dhaka Division, Department of Health, Dr. Mostafizur Rahman, Director, National Nutrition Service, Dr. Khairuzzaman, Gazipur Civil Surgeon, Dr. Pranoy Bhushan Das, Sreepur Upazila Health Officer and other officials of Health Department were present at the program. Three thousand workers of that factory were vaccinated with the first dose of AstraZeneca vaccine.
