A nationwide vaccine booster dose week will be observed from June 4 to 10 to prevent coronavirus infection. Everyone 18 years of age and older can take a booster dose at this time.

The initiative has been taken by the Health Directorate, Health Service Division, and Bureau of Health Education under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. During this time, a booster dose will be given along with the first and second dose of the coronavirus vaccine from 9 am in all vaccination centers.

This information has been given in a notification of the Management Information System (MIS) branch of the Health Directorate on Tuesday (May 31).

The coronavirus vaccine booster dose week will be observed across the country from June 4 to 10, the statement said. A third or booster dose can be taken at the nearest immunization center on any of these seven days. However, everyone must come after the mask when coming to the vaccination center.

It said that under the campaign, all citizens aged 18 and above will be able to get a third or booster dose coronavirus vaccine. The booster dose can be taken four months after the second dose.

According to the Health Directorate, vaccination will start at 9 am in all vaccination centers in the country. In this case, the vaccination card is mandatory. In addition to the booster dose, the normal course of the coronavirus vaccine will continue.

The vaccine is an effective solution to prevent coronavirus and to get the full benefits of the vaccine you must take a third or booster dose.
