After a successful trial in animals, Bangavax, made in the country, has been approved for human trials or clinical trials.

Dr. Mohammad Mohiuddin, senior manager of Globe Biotech Limited's Quality and Regulatory Department, confirmed the matter on Sunday (July 17) afternoon.

He said that the coronavirus vaccine Bangavax made by the domestic company Globe Biotech has received approval for the first phase of experimental application in the human body. The trial will start in BSMMU with 60 people.

Earlier, Bangavax received in-principle approval for experimental application (trial) in animals on November 23 last year. This was approved by the Bangladesh Medical Research Council (BMRC).

Globe Biotech authorities have claimed that the Bangavax vaccine is 100% effective against coronavirus.
