Dengue Spread to 50 Districts: Health Min

Health Minister Zahid Maleque said that the dengue situation across the country is alarming. Dengue cases have been detected in 50 districts including Dhaka.

He also said there is no shortage of beds or medical services in the hospitals.

The minister came up with the assertion while speaking at a program as the chief guest at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Wednesday (November 2).

Zahid Maleque further said, "Dengue can't be controlled by only medication. The city corporations and Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives should work actively to tame dengue outbreak. Moreover, the common people should be aware of the matter as well."
